Pic-A-Nic Anyone?

Hey Hey Boo Boo, I'm a pic-a-nic table! Don't tell Yogi where I hide my pic-a-nic basket!

Tag!

Tags are Gracie's newest favorite toy. It doesn't matter if it's on her clothes, a blanket, or an actual toy. She has much more fun with the tags than anything else I give her!

Noisy

Gracie has figured out that the hanging elements on her bouncy chair actually do something. When pulled, they make the bird in the middle spin-but she hasn't gotten that far. She has noticed that the orange oval on her right makes noise...and she sits there making the noise pretty much the whole time she's in the chair now!

Green Beans

Gracie tried green beans for the first time tonight.
Something tells me she's not a fan. The faces are great though!

Comfort

I was laying on the couch with Mary (our cat) with Gracie rolling around on the floor, singing. After a while, her song started to sound a big more like crying. I was about to get up and pick her up when the cat jumped off the couch and laid down next to Gracie. I thought, "hum, let's see how this plays out!" Gracie rolled over to see Mary, and they laid together. Here's my kitty, making my crying baby smile..

Jumparoo

After talking to Erin and seeing how much fun Shirley had in her doorway bouncer, I really wanted one for Gracie. Then, we went to Toys 'R' Us with my parents to pick out a birthday gift for my niece, and saw that they actually make the same bouncer on a stand so it doesn't have to be in a doorway. I got my heart set on one of those-and then saw the price. Ninety dollars! Sorry heart, that's not happening.
Today we were on the way to the grocery store when Brian saw a garage sale sign. Shocking me, he said excitedly "A garage sale! Let's go!" I have N.E.V.E.R. seen him do anything but mock garage sales, so I seized my opportunity and turned. I am SO glad I did! It was ALL baby stuff! For less than a third of the retail price for the bouncer, we got a bouncer, two onsies, a vibrating teether, and four wide mouth bottles! Score!

So, thanks, Grandma and Grandpa K. for making this possible:

State Fair Fun

Grandma and Grandpa Kruse took us to the state fair last weekend. Gracie had a lot of fun watching all the people.

Someone Found Her Toes!

Gracie's newest hobby is toe pulling. She's like a little pill bug, curled up pulling on those little pigs. It's a constant. Whether she is getting changed, eating, laying on the blanket, or in her carseat, those toes are in her hands.

Keys to My Heart

Gracie seemed to be getting bored with her "old" toys, so I rummaged around in the buckets of toys that we got at our baby showers and found her some plastic keys to play with. I think she likes them-this was about an hour and a half of my night!

Entertaining Exersaucer

The jury's still out on the Exersaucer. So far, she has lasted about 10 minutes before the screaming starts...

Bumbo Baby

Gracie played in her Bumbo chair for the first time the other day. Prior to that, she had only been in it for a few seconds-and hated it. I've found that she's much happier with the tray on it. She props herself up with the tray. Without it she kind of flops forward and gets unhappy.

Playing with her fav toy, Aslan.
